Tailoring (Tshemzo)

Tshemzo is the craft of sewing and making various types of garments, including monastic robes (Chogyu), ceremonial attire (Chamgö), and fabrics for ritual offerings (Choedzey). It also involves making clothing for high-ranking religious figures and officials (lam and pon), as well as traditional Bhutanese garments for men and women. Tailors play an important role in preserving cultural and religious traditions by creating finely made, customised attire.
